LookAway — Smart breaks for healthy eyes and a focused mind
Well! If you’re like me who like things to be old-school and retro to keep things nostalgic, this app called Monotype which I recently stumpled upon, will certainly takes you back to the 80s or 90s when the computers weren’t around and the only way to write documents faster was to use a typewriter.
Monotype is a minimal and delightful Typewriter-style writing app that puts you at the center of your writing experience. The typewriter layout is the centerpiece of the app.

As you can tell, the app interface is pretty simple. You get a typewriter-style UI, and you can pretty much start writing on it. With a ribbon animation and key clack sounds, it’s a pretty delightful experience. And certainly something that lets you write in a distraction-free environment.
You can create multiple documents, show the stats of your writing, or copy the text to your clipboard if that’s what you need.
